Ajax Pir Noir is a passive infrared detector (PIR) which analyzes movements within a 12-meter radius on the basis of infrared changes occurring in the detection field. If a person is in the detection field, the infrared spectrum changes, triggering an alarm output. PIR detectors feature a number of curtain fields. Thanks to this, the sensitivity of the detector remains the same whether the distance is small or large, and there is always effective detection, even in the presence of obstacles.
Ajax detectors are insensitive to pets up to approx. 20 kg. Sensitivity is adjustable for each detector. This is necessary for homes where pets are present, to avoid triggering unwanted alarms. Ajax Hub and detectors use a multi-layer link to protect against tampering, jamming and/or loss of radio signal. This two-way communication with addressed detectors guarantees system integrity. Each data transfer between the Ajax Hub and the detector is transmitted in the form of small data packets. This data is encrypted using a patented algorithm based on AES technology. Deciphering the code requires so much time and energy that it is completely unrealistic.
