The balance between discretion and flexibility
The turret is a hemisphere mounted on a ball joint: it is more compact than a tube camera, can be freely adjusted once installed, and does not have the curved glass of a dome.
Features
- Compact, swivel-mount housing
- 5 MP or 8 MP resolution
- 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens
- AI-Based Object Recognition
- Infrared Night Vision
- PoE or 12 V power supply — for indoor and outdoor use
Why the Absence of a Bubble Matters
A dome protects the lens behind a transparent bubble, which reflects some of the infrared light back toward the sensor and causes a haze in nighttime images. The turret exposes the lens directly: no bubble, no reflection.
It gets dirty a little faster outdoors, which is a reasonable trade-off for clear night shots.
Higher versions
The TurretCam HL features hybrid lighting and captures color footage at night. The TurretCam HLVF adds a remote-controlled motorized varifocal lens.
