The DoorProtect magnet is mounted on the moving part of the door or window, facing the sensor. This bracket serves as its mounting.

This is the most exposed part of the assembly: it follows the movement of the sash every time it is opened. Having a spare part means you won’t have to replace the entire sensor if it comes loose or breaks.
