Monitor an opening, not a room

Whereas a volumetric detector covers the entire space, the Ajax MotionProtect Curtain projects a narrow detection curtain in front of an opening. It alerts you whenever someone crosses that plane and ignores everything happening beyond it.

Why It's Useful

This design allows you to protect your home while still moving around inside it. By placing curtains in front of windows and doors, the system detects a break-in without reacting to the movements of occupants inside the rooms.

This is the setting that lets you arm the alarm at night, or during the day while you're at home.

Good to know

This motion sensor does not have pet immunity: any animal that passes through the detection zone will be detected. Place it out of reach, or choose a volumetric motion sensor with pet immunity for areas frequented by a cat or dog.
