The building's general alarm

When a detector or manual trigger signals a fire, the control panel activates all of the site’s sirens simultaneously. This is what distinguishes a fire alarm system from a collection of standalone detectors.

The red color

Red is the standard color for fire safety equipment. It makes the siren easily recognizable as such, which is an explicit requirement in some buildings open to the public. White and black are suitable for locations where visual integration is a priority.

Variants

The Sirène/VAD version includes a light signal, which is required in noisy environments and for people with hearing impairments.
