Why 4G Instead of 2G?

European carriers are gradually phasing out their 2G and 3G networks in favor of 4G and 5G. A switching center whose backup path relies on 2G will therefore eventually see that path disappear.

4G also provides greater bandwidth, which significantly speeds up the transfer of MotionCam photos when an Ethernet connection is unavailable.
