Why H.265 Matters

H.265 reduces file size by about half compared to H.264, while maintaining the same quality. For continuous recording, this doubles the amount of recorded footage that can be stored on the same disk.

Things to Plan For

The hard drive is not included: choose one based on the number of cameras and the desired recording history duration. This model does not have PoE ports—the cameras require a separate power supply or a PoE switch.
