The danger that no sense can detect
Carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. It does not sting the eyes or cause coughing. The initial symptoms—headache, nausea, and fatigue—resemble those of the flu, and the drowsiness it causes prevents you from reacting.
A detector is the only way to find out.
Features
- Carbon Monoxide Detection
- Three power sources: replaceable battery, sealed battery, or AC power
- Indoor installation — white or black
Where does CO come from?
Any type of incomplete combustion: gas or oil-fired boilers, wood- or pellet-burning stoves, water heaters, fireplaces, or fireplace inserts. A blocked flue, insufficient ventilation, or a poorly adjusted appliance is all it takes.
Where to install it
In the room containing the combustion appliance, and in adjacent rooms. CO spreads throughout the entire space—there’s no need to mount it on the ceiling like a smoke detector.
